General FAQ

Q: Where are Elzetta products made?

A: All Elzetta Z-Line products are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA using American tooling, labor, and materials. The G-Line of products are sourced globally, and in many cases are re-engineered by Elzetta development staff and rigorously tested for durability and reliability.

Q: What is the warranty on Elzetta products?

A: All Elzetta products are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.

Q:  Is there anything I cannot request to be engraved on my light?

A:  Any text, foreign language included, found to be profane will not be engraved as we prefer to not have such associated with our brand.  You will receive an email requesting alternate text.  We do not engrave logos or images at present for standard engraving.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Q: Will you be releasing product X, Y, or Z?

A: We value and welcome customer feedback as well as all product suggestions.  We will never announce or disclose new products in development until they are ready to ship.  Please continue to check our site and social media for updates!

Q:  When will product X, Y, or Z be back in stock?

A:  We take pride in maintaining stock levels but occasionally have high demand or component availability issues.  Please check back on our site frequently and you may also check our Dealers for additional inventory.

Q:  Do you have a trade-in program for flashlights?

A:  We do not have a trade-in program at present.  Our Z-Line lights hold their value quite well.  Some models, depending on module and CCT are sought after.  We recommend trying to sell your existing model on a flashlight forum, Ebay, or similar channel.

Q:  Will you modify my flashlight with an LED of different bin or CCT?

A:  We do not offer any such modification service due to the way our lights are manufactured using potting compound and other permanent adhesives.  Please also keep in mind that doing so yourself or using an outside service will void the warranty.

Q:  Why are your Z-Line flashlights so expensive?

A:  Our Z-Line flashlight products are Made in the USA and are fully custom Engineered and manufactured in-house.  Each light is carefully hand-crafted by our skilled technicians from start to finish.  We do not use off-the-shelf circuit boards assemblies, aluminum parts, and/or reflectors/optical systems.  Each custom component is fabricated at our factory or by domestic suppliers to stringent quality standards and then assembled in-house.  We consider these to be heirloom products and are therefore, worth every hard-earned penny for those who appreciate our level of quality and performance.  We strive to provide the most reliable lights in the world but don’t worry, if there is an issue we’ll take care of you!

Q:  What is the difference between Made in USA and Assembled in USA or Made in America?

A:  Made in USA is governed by the Federal Trade Commission to mean “All or Virtually All” components being made domestically and assembled in the United States of America.  Be careful with misleading advertising such as “Assembled in USA” or “Made in America” are not regulated or held to any sort of standard.  This could mean, but is up to the manufacturer, that all the components are foreign sourced and then assembled domestically.  These statements are not the same as Made in USA.

Q:  Where are your G-Line flashlights made?

A:  These are globally sourced as complete assemblies from China, Taiwan, or other foreign Countries.  Each product is thoroughly evaluated and re-engineered where necessary to ensure maximum reliability using quality electronic components the same or comparable quality to our Z-line.  These are not Made in USA and are priced accordingly.

Q:  Do your flashlights work with X, Y, Z brand tail-cap, head, or switch?

A:  Our product line is designed and manufactured to be fully configurable and modular within our own product line.  We do not adapt to other manufacturers’ products as we are unable to control or guarantee the reliability, durability, or performance of the completed assembly.
